3 Words & Need your advice!!!
What is this?
Sum up your week in three little words.“You can sing it, you can say it, you can write it, you can draw it. It can be funny or sad or poignant as long as it’s honest.” 3 words to sum up your week - posted in any form you chose. Video, picture, etc....get as creative as you want. We will do it on Sundays, that way you will have had enough time to think about how you want to sum up your week.
We ordered our changing table this week. That completes the furniture purchases for the baby's room. Not sure why but we both felt the urge to shop for this and buy this last item this past week. Looking forward to having it up and looking even more forward to having a little butt to wipe.
I need your photo bloggy opinion. I am in the market to buy an SLR and I am not sure what to buy. I have seen such gorgeous pictures on all your blogs and I am really excited about taking my own pictures with my new toy. But the question is...which one do I buy? Please, please, please...share your opinions, advice, handy helpful hints...

Yay to getting a changing table! I can't live without mine. I have wiped Briana's little tush many, MANY times on the changing table.
Not sure what to tell you about the camera. I have a Canon Digital Elph - I really like my Canon.
I think you're going to hear a lot of people recommend different cameras...I have a Canon Powershot A650IS...I love it. I'm a "point and shoot" girl, so I need something simple. The best advice I have for you is to learn how to use your camera well BEFORE you get that beautiful baby. You'll be glad you did.
I love your changing table!!!
LOVE the changing table..
We have CANON. we love ours.. just got a new macro lens for DH.. and he really enjoys it.. I use my little Sony Cybershot.. but when Isabella gets here.. different story..LOL..
Have a Great Week..
4 more nights...HUGS
got the picture,,,
Cute changing table. My family just bought me the Canon Xsi SLR and I love it. I am still learning how to use it so judge it yet by my picture taking abilities but it is great because it has auto everything if you don't have the time to fiddle but it also can be completely manual so you can get the really professional looking pictures. I heard this was the best beginning Canon SLR. Hope that helps:)
We took our Cannon rebel to China with us and hated every minute of it. I just broke down and bought the Nikon x80 and love it. For me to cannon pics look foggy all the time and inddors there were a bit dark.
Canon for us. We love it.
I should spend more time learning to use it properly though, but even bad as I am it takes some great shots. lol
Love the changing table!
Nikon dx40x for us. The 10 mp. We love it and us it all the time

Good luck on getting that camera. It really is a matter of personal preference. I know there are a lot of Canon lovers out there, but I am a Nikon girl all the way :-)
Nikon girl here. :-) Are you looking for smaller one or a big guy? I've got the Nikon D300 and haven't found anything I don't like yet. I had the Nikon D70 before this one though and hated it.
We just got the Canon EOS 40D and we love it....I think the hubby bought an additional lense that we use with it....It did take me a little bit to get the hang of it
Good luck with the search for a camera....thumnbs up on the changing table!
Lisa
Glad you have everything ready for baby girl!
As for the camera, we too are in the market for something newer. I'll be keeping an eye on this post for info.
Love the changing table! Way to go girl...flutters!
Cool that you are adding to the room.
I just posted to another person's blog about the camera. i have the rebel and love it. There are lots of sites that offer it with a lens. Amazon has had it on sale 3 times last month.
The changing table is beautiful! And THREE shelves is really nice! As for the camera....I am camera-challenged. I hope you can find a good one!
Love the changing table. I personally like my Rebel XT-Canon. Thanks for your lovely comments on Glenys' swimming.

GREAT 3 words!! Yay!!!!
It seems many of us are in the market for SLR cameras. I ordered one on Tuesday and am having it delivered to M3's house so will pick it up when I'm in the states next week.
I purchased the Nikon D40. Have heard lots and lots of good reports about it. A couple of friends recommended it and another bloggy friend just bought it last week too. Here's another place you might want to check out KenRockwell.com to see what he says.
Hurrah - a changing table! I love my Canon SLR - but many friends have the Nikon and love it, too.
I wish you a poopy arse to park on that table very soon!
As for the camera...I will do you a favor by NOT making a recommendation. I am a boob with a camera and somehow think it is going to magically change when I'm a mama.
OOOOH - a changing table!!! LOVE IT!
As for the camera, I have a Canon EOS Rebel XT (I think? lol). Not too hard to deal with, and takes amazing pics without my even trying. You can get GREAT deals on last years model - like, half price. Whatever you get, all of the ones you listed are great!
Here's a link to the place I got mine from:

Oops - let's try that link again...lol:

We're happy with the Canon XT, still haven't learned how to use it and I need to get a more versatile lens since the one that came with it doesn't zoom enough and the other zooms too much but I've gotten some good pics and some not so good ones, I think I need a course on SLR, but bonus on the auto functions.
Great drawer on the changing table and it goes perfect with the room.
I don't know a lot about cameras, but I have a Sony camera that looks similar to the one in the photo and I really like it. Sometimes I wish that I had something smaller though.
Canon all the way! I have a Canon EOS 40D & a Canon Rebel XTi. They are both awesome. The Rebel XTi would do everything and more that you need it to do. I love mine. It is also very easy to understand and work with. I have interchangeable lenses as well.... a telephoto, macro and wide angle lense that adds a lot of versatility to the camera.
I really like your changing table!!! Here's to butt wiping in the future!!
Great looking changing table. Are you going to put those cute baskets or bins underneath for storage? I love those.
Not sure about SLR cameras, but I LOVE my Canon Powershot. It's just a regular point and shoot digital camera. Before we go to China, I'm going to buy a new one since mine is about 4 years old now.
Donna :)
We just bought the Sony Alpha 350 and I L-O-V-E it! I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that the a350 was for me. It takes exceptional pictures and it is as easy to use as a pocket camera. The a350 is the only DLSR that has the live view capability on the LCD screen. It is a very user friendly camera.
I looked at the Nikon D300 but for less than the price of the body of the D300, I got the a350 body, two lenses, mounted flash, and an extended warranty.
I will send you some of my pics I have taken with it.
Love the changing table. I've got a Canon Rebel XT. Love it so far but need to learn how to use it better.
I have the Canon Rebel XTI and I really like it, but I am drooling over the Nikon D300. I would settle for the D80. They take beautiful photos. I would say go Nikon.
We use to have a non-digital Canon SLR. I loved it, but it broke. Then we went to a Canon digital point-and-shoot. It's ok, but I hate the delay between shots and when you press the shutter button. Hopefully, the digital SLRs don't have that problem.
I absolutely LOVE my Canon 40D, which is a DSLR (digital SLR). Unlike the Nikon D300, it has the automatic settings- auto, portrait, landscape, etc.

We have that exact changing table and we love it!
I have a Canon Rebel XTi SLR and I have a Nikon S4 point and shoot. The only thing I heard is that the Nikon SLR (forget which one) limits you on auto focus. Not all of their lenses will auto focus and that would be a big problem for me.
I love my Rebel.
I don't think you can go wrong between Canon and Nikon. I would stay away from the others though.
